Another retailer has succumbed to store closures, this time its Avenue Stores, LLC. The plus-sized women’s clothing retailer will close all of its store locations across 33 states.
The store closures affect 222 locations, where the company said “store closing sales” are currently being held.
According to Avenue, sales at the stores include price reductions of 30 to 50 percent off the lowest ticketed prices on all merchandise, including all items, all brands, and even store fixtures.
Avenue, which sells women’s fashions in sizes from 14 to 32, is working with Gordon Brothers and Hilco Merchants Resources for the liquidation process.
“Avenue shoppers will be amazed not only by the incredible savings, but also by the great selections and styles available at the closing sale,” a spokesperson for newly formed venture said.
“Given the popularity of the brand and the seasonal trends, merchandise is sure to sell out quickly. We are encouraging consumers to shop early and take advantage of these offers,” they added.
