VINNIE Jones is in advanced talks to appear on Celebrity X Factor, Daily Star Online can reveal.
The hard-man is deep in negotiations with ITV and Thames, the production company behind The X Factor, to take part in Simon Cowell’s latest brainchild.
An insider spilled: “Vinnie looks all set to take part in the celebrity edition of The X Factor.
“Talks are ongoing and the details haven’t been agreed but it’s more than likely he will make the final line-up.
“He may have a rough and ready persona but Vinnie is a great singer and loves performing.”
Vinnie released his debut album Respect in 2002.
This was followed up in 2010 by a rerelease of Wooly Bully, a 1993 track he recorded with The Soul Survivors.
A TV source said: “It’s early days and producers have been inundated with requests from celebrities wanting to be on the show.
“They are in talks with a variety of exciting names, but it’s way too early to confirm anything.

“Conversations about the line-up are ongoing and not set in stone.
“Producers are keeping tight-lipped right now, but it’s set to be a very exciting show.”
The source added: “Vinnie would obviously be a great addition to the line-up.
“He’s a great character and the public like him. I think it’s safe to say he would keep everyone on the show on their toes!”
Earlier this year, Simon revealed how he was planning an epic shake-up of the singing contest in order to keep the format fresh and exciting for viewers.
It is thought two shorter series of The X Factor will air this autumn, an All Star version similar to America’s Got Talent, which will see former finalists for all series’ return to battle it out for the crown, and the heavily-hyped celebrity edition.
X Factor has dominated the small screen ever since Steve Brookstein won the first series in 2004.
