Leeds fans MOCKED after play-off defeat as Frank Lampard terrace song BACKFIRES

LEEDS fans have had a taste of their own medicine after losing to Derby County in the play-off semi-final.

The Whites took a 1-0 lead into tonight’s second leg clash with Derby.

Leeds fans had certainly enjoyed themselves at Pride Park last week, fashioning a song out of Oasis’ ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’.

“Cos all of the spies are hidden away,” fans sang, to the tune of the 2002 hit.

“Try not to worry, you’ll beat us some day.

“We beat you at home and we beat you away.

“Stop crying Frank Lampard.”

But after Derby’s 4-2 win at Elland Road tonight, it was the Rams’ turn to poke fun at their opponents.

“Lampard to bust out a rendition of stop crying your heart out in front of the Leeds fans,” one supporter tweeted.

“Stop crying your heart out #lufc,” one said.

“Derby fans quickly fashioning new lyrics for Stop Crying Your Heart Out #LEEDER,” another said.

“Leeds fans kind of deserve this for rewriting ‘Stop Crying Your Heart Out’, an awful song,” one added.

“Forgotten that stop crying your heart out chant pretty quickly haven’t they #lufc,” a fifth said.

Frank Lampard was asked about the chant earlier this week and responded by aiming a cheeky dig back at Leeds fans regarding their Premier League struggles in recent years.

“No, of course not, it is good fun,” he said when asked if he was bothered by the song.

“As a Chelsea player, there was a rivalry always with Leeds.

“We didn’t play them that much because we were in the Premier League, but that comes with it.

“I will take a song all day long. My worry is what the players do on the pitch.”
