VIEWERS were left shocked while watching The Kyle Files after a gang chased Jeremy Kyle and his team with a knife.
Viewers tuning in to watch ITV show The Kyle Files couldn’t quite believe their eyes after tonight’s episode.
The show follows Jeremy Kyle as he investigates high-profile issues that impact the lives of people across the UK today – from legal highs to knife crime, and from underage drinking to plastic surgery.
Tonight’s half-hour show followed Jeremy Kyle as he investigated the moped muggings taking over London.
But despite being used to fiery conflicts on The Jeremy Kyle Show, the presenter looked shaken after a turf war brawl began in front of him between two gangs.
While his crew filmed him speaking to gang members in a London park at night, things quickly started to spin out of control.
Cameras caught an opposing gang enter the dark park, who charged towards Jeremy and his crew shouting: “Turn the cameras off bruv”.
The presenter then shouted back: “Do one,” with a thug shouting back: “Come here.”
Before the cameras went off, scenes showed Jeremy begin to sprint away as the gang got closer.
A voiceover of Jeremy then announced that the gang chased them with a knife.
He told the audience: “A guy with a knife chases after us. A guy got knocked out cold.”
Safely back in the car, Jeremy explains they were caught in a turf war.
He says: “Wow, wow. I guess that’s the reality. I’d guess you’d say that turned a bit nasty.
“Suddenly two youths – their area apparently – arrived on bikes and wanted us out.
“We’ve had to get out of there as quickly as possible, make sure the crew are okay. They were not happy.”
Shocked viewers quickly rushed to Twitter in disbelief, and one wrote: “Wait hang on, am I watching Jeremy Kyle being chased through a park by gang members with knives?!”
A second tweeted: “So Steve a big burly security guard… a whole team… and Jeremy Kyle legged it when they saw a little gang.”
Another said: “All kicking off on the Kyle Files. Television at its hard-hitting finest.”
The Kyle Files continues Mondays at 8.30pm on ITV.
