Eden Hazard STARTS for Chelsea vs New England Revolution, full line-up revealed

EDEN HAZARD has been named in Chelsea’s starting line-up for their friendly against New England Revolution.

The game is part of the Blues’ ‘Say No To Antisemitism’ campaign, which has seen representatives from both clubs recently visiting the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland.

And boss Maurizio Sarri has named a strong team to start the game despite only completing their Premier League campaign on Sunday at Leicester.

Bearing in mind the Blues still have a Europa League final with Arsenal to play on May 29, Sarri will be hoping all of his men make it through the game unscathed.

While Hazard himself is unlikely to play the full 90 minutes, fans will be watching on in the hope that the New England players don’t get too close to him.

Real Madrid bosses may also be watching in worry as they look to complete a deal to sign the Belgium international.

Los Blancos want the forward to be their marquee signing of the summer and a direct replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who left for Juventus a year ago.

Elsewhere, six players that started the 0-0 draw with Leicester have named in the starting line-up once more.

They are Marcos Alonso, David Luiz, Davide Zappacosta, Ross Barkley, Jorginho, and Pedro.

Kepa Arrizabalaga returns in goal after sitting out that game, as do Andreas Christensen, Mateo Kovacic, Olivier Giroud, and Hazard.

New England, meanwhile, have just appointed former USA and LA Galaxy coach Bruce Arena as both their head coach and sporting director after a poor start to the season has seen them slump to the foot of the Eastern Conference.

The timing of the game isn’t great for the American side as they go to 3rd place Montreal Impact on Saturday in Arena’s first league game in charge.

The idea for the fixture came from respective club owners Roman Abramovich and Robert Kraft, who will each donate $1m to the cause.

The game at Gillette Stadium in Boston will kick-off at 1am UK time on Thursday morning.
